This easy recipe tastes great and smells wonderful while it cooks.
Ingredients
1-1.5kg beef brisket
2tsp salt
1tsp onion powder
2tsp ground black pepper
1tsp garlic powder
Tbsp paprika
1/2tsp ground cumin
1tbsp dried thyme
1 cup water
3tbsp Worcestershire sauce
525ml barbecue sauce
11/2tsp liquid smoke
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, salt, pepper, thyme, onion powder, cumin and paprika. Rub the mix over the brisket.
- Pour the water into the slow cooker and place the brisket on top. Pour the Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke over the top of the brisket, cover and cook on low for 12 hours.
- Remove brisket onto a large platter before shredding it while discarding the fat.
- Skim the fat off the liquid in the slow cooker, place the shredded brisket back in the slow cooker and pour barbecue sauce over the top. Gently stir and cook for another half an hour until the sauce is warm.
- Serve and enjoy!
