How are Teeth Whitened Professionally?

We offer two types of teeth whitening at One Smile. Our patients can choose Zoom^TM Whitening which will improve the colour of teeth in as little as an hour in our dental surgery or we can provide customised whitening kits to use in the privacy of your own home. Our customised kits include whitening trays that are specially made to fit over your teeth. Both options provide very good results but whitening at home will take two weeks or more.

My Teeth are Sensitive: Can I Still Whiten?

Your teeth whitening treatment can be customised to take into account the sensitivity of your teeth as the strength of the whitening gel can be adjusted. If your teeth are particularly sensitive then whitening more slowly can help reduce these effects.

How Long Will Teeth Whitening Last?

Your teeth should be whiter for up to a year or even longer but this does depend on your lifestyle habits. If you smoke or drink a lot of coffee then your teeth will stain more quickly. The results of teeth whitening treatments can be topped up every so often and our dentists will advise you as to how frequently this can be done safely.
